A woman who said she was
"feeling a little down" went to the shops to pick up a few things, where
she said she found an anonymous note in the bottom of her basket that
turned her day around
Sometimes the words or actions of a complete stranger can make or break your day.
A needless remark when you're out and about or a horrible comment on
social media can have a bigger impact than it ever intended.
But
equally a random act of kindness can prove that there's still a lot of
good people in the world even during the most difficult times.
One
woman who was feeling down found an anonymous note left at the bottom
of her shopping basket with some heartwarming words - and said the act
meant more to her than the stranger could have known.
The shopper, known only as Louise, posted about the discovery at a store in Adelaide on a Facebook group, writing: "Was feeling a little down a couple of weekends ago, went to my local Kmart store and bought a few things.
"Went to the checkout and found this in my basket that I purchased, cheered me up no end."
The small piece of torn paper had a note written in pencil and in a child's handwriting, reading: "Never give up."
Louise's
find, which came at the perfect time, turned her day around in an
instant, as she added: "Thanks to the little person who did it, I won’t
ever give up."
Other members of the group were touched by the selfless act, as reported by Kidspot, with one replying to say: "There are no coincidences, this sign was yours."
Another wrote: "Perfect little reminder."
Recently, a hairdresser was also left stunned by note she received
from a grieving husband following the death of his beloved wife.
The moving letter expressed his gratitude, telling the worker his
wife's visit to the salon had been one of the "last best moments of her
life".
He explained that she had been suffering with dementia but
her visit made her feel 'so pretty' and that she visited the mirror
several times in the day and would come out beaming.
